Modern Foreign Languages
Throughout Key Stage 3 students have three, one-hour lessons of languages over a two-week period. They are allocated either French or Spanish as their specialist language to follow.
A cohort of Year 7 students from September 2009 will follow an alternative curriculum to boost their English literacy skills before they are integrated into the MFL curriculum from January onwards.
The department offers French and Spanish to GCSE; and we are delighted that students enjoy their MFL experience so much, that A level French is now a popular choice in the sixth form.
