This term both our Year 9 and Year 10 Aimhigher cohorts got the opportunity to visit Goldsmith’s University. Students heard a talk on university life, including more information on student finance and all the societies universities have to offer. They also went on a campus tour with knowledgeable student ambassadors to see the contemporary facilities of Goldsmith’s urban campus. Some year 10 students even got to engage with the interactive exhibits at the modern art museum! Finally, students participated in a taster session run by a distinguished academic in the department of Social and Community Studies. They engaged very well with the sociological concepts and were mature and thoughtful when sharing ideas about young people’s mental health. Students really got a taste of what life is like as a university student and thoroughly enjoyed the day!
