At Carshalton Boys Sports College, we are always looking at how we can improve. Each year we carry out a thorough self-evaluation, taking an honest look at what we do well and where we can do better. We draw on evidence from our results, lesson visits, student and parent voice, and external review. This self-evaluation shapes our School Development Plan, which sets out our priorities for the year ahead and how we will achieve them.

Our key priorities for 2026–27 are to:

• close the gaps for students with SEND and disadvantaged students
• embed consistently strong teaching in every classroom
• raise outcomes for our higher-attaining students
• launch our redesigned PSHE and RSHE programme (Personal Development)
• strengthen leadership capacity and governance
• complete our safeguarding and compliance work
